We have been retained by our client, in their search for a QA Analyst, this is a full time permanent opportunity! Located in Saratoga Springs NY. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities:
• Ownership of product testing suite
• Create and execute manual test documentation such as test plans, strategies, scripts, and metrics utilizing all testing methods.
• Create and maintain user acceptance
• Automate regression testing
• Ownership of release management
• Establish and manage release process
• Assist with product installations
• Ownership of partner certification
• Work with 3rd party partners in testing
• Maintain all test documentation (test plans, strategies, scripts, etc.).
• Accurately document, and prioritize defects and guarantee that defects are addressed
• Participate in the review of the business and functional requirements ensuring clarity, completeness, usability, security, and optimal performance.
• Assist in the creation of test data.
• Participates in the client software release process
• Participates in and contributes to, weekly quality assurance status meetings
• Participates in the business logic specification process
• Participates in the on-going development of standard operating procedures and policies
Required Experience/Education:
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
• Must have 4+ years of software Quality assurance
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to prioritize and work on numerous projects simultaneously.
• Expertise in one or more areas of Java, SQL, Scripting, or XML
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle)
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and release management.
• Knowledge of SAP/Great Plains/Oracle Software certification a plus
• Experience with Windows and Linux platforms
• Experience with testing tools, defect tracking, and reporting of defects.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and other business related software.
